Isawa (胆沢郡; -gun) is a district located in Iwate Prefecture, Japan.
As of 2006, the district has an estimated population of 16,433 and a density of 91 persons per km². The total area is 179.77 km².

Mergers
- On February 20, 2006 the municipaltites of Maesawa, Isawa and Koromogawa from Isawa District merged with the cities of Esashi and Mizusawa to form the new city of Oshu.
