Irmin Schmidt (born May 29, 1937) is a keyboard player probably best known as a member of Can.
Schmidt has recorded a few solo albums, and directed a recent opera based on Mervyn Peake's Gormenghast. His wife has been responsible for the group's management and record label Spoon Records since the 1970s.
