Canebrake is an English noun meaning an area of land with a thick dense growth of sugarcane, bamboo, or similar plant material.
There are four places in the United States named Canebrake:
- Canebrake in Kern County, California
- Canebrake in Concordia Parish, Louisiana
- Canebrake in Rutherford County, Tennessee
- Canebrake in McDowell County, West Virginia
- Canebrake is a species of rattlesnake found in the United States
In addition, Cape Canaveral derives its name from Cañaveral, the Spanish for canebrake.
