Chuck Dukowski is the stage name of Gary McDaniel, born February 1, 1954.
Chuck Dukowski was a founding member and original bass player for Black Flag. Chuck wrote some of Black Flag's most popular songs including My War, What I See, I've Heard It Before and Spray Paint. He left the band before the release of My War. He continued to play in Wurm, SST "supergroup" October Faction, and formed his own band SWA in 1985 with Merrill Ward of Overkill.
Chuck has a new band with artist and musician Lora Norton loranorton.com called The Chuck Dukowski Sextet. They have an album out on Chuck's own "Nice & Friendly Records" distributed worldwide by Long Live Crime Records in 2006.
On Black Flag's first album, Damaged, he is credited as "Charles" Dukowski.
He appeared in the documentary The Decline of Western Civilization.
