Current revision
Even Stevens is a comedy television program which aired on the Disney Channel from 2000 to 2003. The plot centers on the Stevens family, and in particular the harebrained schemes concocted by middle-schooler Louis Stevens and how they disturb his perfectionist older sister, Ren. Although a sitcom, the show did not use a laugh track. However, one of the main trademark camera shots used on the show were fast-motion transitions between scenes. Reruns will air starting in Fall 2006 on syndication, usually twice a day depending on the station.
Production on the show ceased after 65 episodes due to Disney's policies, even though the show was still quite popular. The show was concluded with a Disney Channel Original Movie, called The Even Stevens Movie on June 13, 2003.

Major Characters
- Louis Stevens - Louis is the young son of the family - unlike his perfect siblings and equally perfect parents, he can't seem to find his place so he is often involved in practical jokes, get rich-quick schemes and generally trying to annoy Ren.
- Ren Stevens - Louis' perfectionist, intelligent and sometimes priggish older sister who is constantly running as Hall Monitor and Class President while trying to stop Louis from getting himself in trouble.
- Eileen Stevens - Louis' mother who is a senator.
- Steve Stevens - Louis' quirky lawyer father.
- Donnie Stevens - Louis' athletic older brother. Donnie is quite odd and sensitive, and a little airheaded although he is fundamentally perfect at all sports.
- Alan Twitty - Louis' best friend who is similar to Louis but usually isn't as extreme and often has to get Louis out of situations.
- Tawny Dean - Louis' friend, eventually girlfriend. Tawny at first has no friends and is an outsider, until she meets Louis, whom she first instantly dislikes but then grows to be his friend. She's the moderator out of his friends. She dresses in gothic clothing usually, unlike her classmates.
Recurring Characters
- Larry Beale - Ren's nasty, popular, charismatic, know-it-all rival for her titles who always seeks to destroy her reputation. Larry's schemes usually turn on him, however.
- Tom Gribalski - Louis' geeky, unpopular, uncool, and intelligent friend. When Louis cooks up a scheme, Tom usually tries to talk Louis out of it and usually doesn't go along with Louis's schemes. Also, Tom speaks with a scientific philosophy intelligent slang.
- Conrad Wexler - the principal of the middle school; Ren is his pet student while Louis drives him bananas
- Bernard "Beans" Arrongaron - clichè "guy next door who comes over uninvited, eats your food and won't leave"; eventually turns into a sidekick for Louis' and Twitty's schemes
- Ruby Mendel - Ren's best friend
- Coach Tugnut - The vegetian gym couch who is always tough on Louis. He is usually the victim of one of Louis's pranks.
- Monique Taylor - Ren's friend
