People who do not fit existing lists
There are some forms of disability that are rare enough that a list could not be formed from each one. This is mostly for them. Names placed here should be noteworthy and their disability should be self admitted. Historical figures whose disabled status is disputed should therefore not be placed here.
- Simona Atzori - Armless artist and dancer.
- Anne Begg - Scottish politician with Gaucher's disease.
- Sarah Biffen - Armless painter.
- Christy Brown - Irish writer who had cerebral palsy.
- Chris Burke (actor) - Actor with Down syndrome, played "Corky" on Life Goes On.
- Joey Deacon - British author and TV personality with cerebral palsy.
- Pascal Duquenne - Actor with Down syndrome.
- Julie Fernandez - Actress with osteogenesis imperfecta.
- Bob Flanagan - Songwriter linked to the BDSM scene, had cystic fibrosis.
- Lawrence Gwozdz - Sax player with spina bifida.
- Geri Jewell - Actress and comedienne with cerebral palsy who had a recurring role on the TV series The Facts of Life.
- Alison Lapper - Armless artist.
- Thomas Malthus - hair lip and cleft palate.
- Francesca Martinez - Stand up comic.
- Casey Martin - Disabled professional golfer who successfully sued the PGA Tour under the Americans with Disabilities Act in 2001 for the right to use a golf cart.
- Tony Melendez - Armless guitarist.
- Mattie Stepanek - Poet who had muscular dystrophy.
- Tanni Grey-Thompson - Athlete with spina bifida.
- Carl Herman Unthan - Violinist who had no hands.
- Bill Williams - Software developer who had cystic fibrosis.
- Justin Yoder - Athlete with spina bifida.
