Sushun (Simplified Chinese:肃顺; Traditional Chinese:肅順; Courtesy Yuting 雨亭) (—1861) was born in the Manchu Aisin-Gioro Clan as the sixth son of Wurgongga (乌尔恭阿), the Prince Zheng.
Sushun became a General during the late years of the Daoguang Emperor's reign. He served in court as part of the Imperial Guard to the Xianfeng Emperor. In Xianfeng-8, Sushun was appointed the President of the Board of Rites. At the Emperor Xianfeng's death, Sushun, his elder brother Duanhua, and Zaiyuan, along with five others, were appointed Regents to oversee administrative affairs during the young Emperor's minority. The regency left Sushun in conflict with the Empress Dowager Cixi, who also wanted to assume power. Cixi staged a coup d'etat, and Sushun and was beheaded in 1861.
