Flensburg Fjord

Flensburg Fjord, alternatively Firth of Flensburg (Danish: Flensborg Fjord, German: Flensburger Förde), is a 50 km long estuary of the Baltic. The southern shores are German; the northern shores are Danish. Therefore the fjord, or firth, is part of the border between Germany and Denmark.
On the Danish side lies the island of Als with the town of Sønderborg. Towards the west, continuing on the Danish side are Broager, Egemsund, Gråsten, Rinkenæs, Sønderhav, and Kollund.
At the inner side is the town of Flensburg, at the eastern shore the town of Glücksburg. satellite image.
It is one of the most famous sailing areas of Northern Europe.
