Charles Henry Dow (November 6, 1851 – December 4, 1902) was an American journalist who co-founded Dow Jones & Company and The Wall Street Journal.
Born in Sterling, Connecticut, Dow never finished high school. He saw the need for an index to probe the New York Stock Exchange activity. He also put together the Dow Theory.
Dow died in Brooklyn, New York.
