Image:Torontodominion.png TD Canada Trust is the personal, small business and commercial banking operation of The Toronto-Dominion Bank. TD Canada Trust offers a range of financial services and products to more than 10 million Canadian customers through more than 1,000 branches and 2,700 ATMs. People often incorrectly use "TD Canada Trust" to refer to the whole bank after the merger in 2000, although TD Canada Trust only makes up the bank's largest division.

TD Canada Trust was formerly an independent company known as Canada Trustco (CT). It was acquired by Toronto-Dominion Bank in 2000, and TD was officially renamed Toronto-Dominion Bank Financial Group (TDBFG). CT was merged with TD's existing retail division to form "TD Canada Trust". CT President & CEO Ed Clark was made President & COO of the newly formed TDBFG, later ascending to President & CEO in 2003.

TD Canada Trust is currently run by co-Chairs Tim Hockey (Group Head, Personal Banking) and Bernard Dorval (Group Head, Business Banking & Insurance).

TD Canada Trust is also involved in a joint venture with small size retailers in downtown Toronto using a key-tag debit system known as Dexit. Initial pilot has generated good results and will expand throughout Toronto in 2005.
