Comparisons to other Danish television stations

Compared to the other government-owned station, Danish Broadcast Corporation, TV2 has established itself as a more youth-oriented channel with several American sit-coms such as Dharma & Greg, Friends, Hope & Faith, Joey, The King of Queens and Roseanne.

Funding

Historically it has been funded by TV-license fees and advertising sales, but beginning July 2004 funding through TV-license fees for the main channel had ended. The regional channels are still partly funded this way.
