Transport services in Tuvalu are limited. A ferry runs between the main atolls. There are 8 km of roads and no railways.

Funafuti is the only port, there is also a deep-water berth in the harbour at Nukufetau. The merchant marine fleet consists of four ships of 1,000 GRT or over, totaling 33,199 GRT/56,187 DWT. This comprises two cargo ships, one passenger/cargo ship [edited: Tuvalu does not have a petroleum tanker]

The only airport is Funafuti Atoll International Airport, it is a gravel strip. IATA airport code FUN. The only flights are to Fiji.

There is no more than 8 kilometers of highway.
