Image:Lauren reed.jpg Melissa Suzanne George (born August 6, 1976) is an Australian actress and athlete who has worked in both American and Australian films and television series. She was an Australian national champion in roller skating before she worked on the television series Home and Away from 1993 to 1996. After moving to Los Angeles, she scored small roles in a host of films, including Mulholland Drive, The Limey, Down With Love and Dark City, along with several TV shows which unfortunately got canned after being picked up.

From 2003 to 2004 she played the character Lauren Reed on the American television series Alias. In 2005 she co-starred with Ryan Reynolds in the remake of The Amityville Horror, playing Kathy Lutz. She is married to Chilean businessman Claudio Dabed, and is step mother to his daughter Martina.

She was most recently seen promoting the Clive Owen/Jennifer Aniston movie Derailed, in which she plays the character Deanna Schine, and is also busy putting the finishing touches to her newest film, Turistas (directed by John Stockwell). In early 2006 she will be seen in an episode of the Nine Network's sequel to the series "Twisted Tales", entitled "Two Twisted". Her next project is the film The Music Within opposite Ron Livingston, which will be followed by filming for the pilot of Candace Bushnell's Lipstick Jungle for NBC

After leaving Home and Away, Melissa attempted to shred her good-girl image by posing topless in [[Black + White]] magazine. She also did an interview for Playboy Magazine, and later posed nude for photos which were sold to Australian Playboy.
