Vittorio Veneto is a city situated in Italy, in the region of Veneto, north-east of the Italian peninsula. In October 1918, it was the site of the last battle between Italy and Austria-Hungary during World War I, leading to the victory of Italy in the war and to the armistice with the defeated Austro-Hungarian Empire on the 4th of November.
Prior to the unification of Italy in 1860, it was formed by Serravalle, the northern part, and Ceneda in the south.
