The Loreto Sisters is a common name for The Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
In Ireland, the sisters run many girls' day-schools, and until recently had a girls' boarding school at Rathfarnham, Dublin (see Loreto Abbey).
Schools all over the world work in association with the sisters, such as the Loreto Colleges all around Australia. The Loreto Sisters, along with Mary Ward, helped fund Loreto schools all around the world.
The campus in Coleraine, County Londonderry, which celebrated its 75th anniversary on Saturday, 25th June 2005.
Loreto Sixth Form College in Hulme, Manchester in the UK was recently awarded the Queen's Aniversary Award with a ceremony in London where the current Principal Ann Clynch met Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
