Jarom was one of the contributors to the Book of Mormon. He authored the Book of Jarom.
Jarom was the son of Enos, who was the son of Jacob, who was the son of Lehi, who left Jerusalem for America in about 600 BC.
Jarom was a prophet who kept records for the Nephites from about 420 BC to about 361 BC. After he died, record keeping was handed over to his son Omni.Template:LDS-stub
