XPde is a Linux graphical desktop environment, similar to Windows XP's interface. It includes the XPde desktop environment and the XPwm window manager. Early versions only included the "classic" user interface, but it now also mimics the new "Luna" themes, including Longhorn inspired designs.
It was written to provide an interface similar to Windows, intended for those who would like to use Linux but without having to learn a new desktop environment. It emulates the interface closely without intentionally violating any trademarks of Microsoft. The project is written using Borland's Kylix development environment. It is a minimal desktop environment, without providing application libraries or extra programs like others.
