Template:Politicsboxend The Pangu Party or Papua and Niugini Union Pati is a political party in Papua New Guinea. At the last legislative elections, 15-29 june 2002, the party is said to have won 6 of 109 seats. It is led by Chris Haiveta.
It was founded in 1968 by later Prime Minister Michael Somare, who was replaced by Rabbie Namaliu. Somare is now leader of the National Alliance Party.
