The Nyoi-bo is the name of an object used in a manga series and two anime series.

In Dragon Ball, the character Son Goku wields the Nyoi-bou (Nyoi-bō) as his weapon.

Another character from another show, also named Son Goku (from the anime Gensomaden Saiyuki) also weilds the Nyoi-bo as he fights.

The Nyoibō, known in the FUNimation dub as the Power Pole, is a weapon in the manga Dragon Ball/Dragon Ball Z and the anime Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z.

The Nyoibō is one of Son Goku's primary weapons in Dragon Ball. The Nyoi-bo is a wooden, red, magical staff given to Goku from Grandpa Gohan. It has the ability to grow very, very long and then back to normal by the user's voice command. It is believed by many fans of the series to be also unbreakable. Often, Goku uses the Nyoi-bo very creatively in Dragon Ball, and it is basically a lifesaver until he learns how to perform Bukujutsu (The Japanese Romaji word for flying).

The Nyoi-bo actually originates from Kami's Lookout and Korin Tower; Korin reveals that the Nyoi-bo was the "ladder" connecting Korin Tower and Kami's Lookout. Son Goku uses the Nyoi-bo as a ride to go to Kami's Lookout, incidentally.

In Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3, The Nyoi-bo is used by 'Kid Goku' as a special weapon attack for charge attacks and special combos that only he can use.

Both weapons are taken from a similar weapon that Sun Wukong uses in the Chinese novel Journey to the West.ja:如意棒 zh:如意金箍棒
