The GLOCK 33 Sub-compact is a pistol manufactured by GLOCK. It is a GLOCK 27 Sub-compact modified to fire the .357 SIG ammunition. It uses a modified slide, frame, .357 SIG barrel and magazine but is otherwise nearly identical in appearance to the GLOCK 27 Sub-compact. It has a 9 rounds magazine capacity, with a legal limit of 10 rounds, which can be acquired through a magazine extension kit.
Because the .357 SIG is based on a necked-down .40 S&W, magazines designed for a GLOCK 33 can be filled with .40 S&W rounds and used in a GLOCK 27; similarly, GLOCK 27 magazines can be filled with .357 SIG cartridges and used in the GLOCK 33.
Like most GLOCK guns, the name is often referred to as a "Glock" and not as "GLOCK". According to GLOCK—the company that manufactures the gun—this is incorrect. GLOCK refers to all its guns with all uppercase letters.
