Seven vessels of the British Royal Navy have been named HMS Medea, after the Medea of Greek mythology. See also HMS Medee.

• The first Medea was a 26-gun sixth-rate, originally the French Medee, captured in 1744 and sold in 1745, subsequently operating as the privateer Boscawen.
• The second Medea was a 28-gun sixth-rate launched in 1778 and sold 1795.
• The third Medea was to have been a 32-gun fifth-rate of 658 tons; ordered from Woolwich Dockyard in 1800, later cancelled.
• The fourth Medea was a paddle sloop launched in 1833 and sold 1867.
• The fifth Medea was a 2nd class cruiser launched in 1888 and sold 1914.
• The sixth Medea was a destroyer, originally to be the Greek Kriti, purchased on the ways in 1914, launched in 1915, and sold for breakup in 1921.
• The seventh Medea was the monitor M22, renamed in 1925.
