Syzran (Template:Lang-ru) is a town in Samara Oblast, Russia. It is located at Template:Coor dm, on the river Volga. Population: 188,107 (2002 Census); 173,000 (1985).

Syzran was founded in 1683 as a fortress, as has existed as a town since 1796. One tower from the 17th-century fortress still stands.
