Pan-African people include all people of African ancestry. The term is distinct from African-American, which is sometimes considered only to refer to people of African Ancestry who live in the United States; Pan-African includes all black people throughout the African Diaspora, i.e. those from Jamaica, and all other countries where Africans were dispersed following the slave trade or by migration.
