This article is about the former town in Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. There is a town with the same name in Fukui Prefecture, see Miyama, Fukui, and there was another Miyama in Gifu Prefecture that merged into the city of Yamagata.

Miyama (美山町; -cho) was a town located in Kitakuwada District, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan.

As of 2003, the town had an estimated population of 5,070 and a density of 14.89 persons per km². The total area was 340.47 km².

Merger

On January 1, 2006 the town of Miyama from Kitakuwada District merged with the towns of Hiyoshi, Sonobe and Yagi from Funai District to form the new city of Nantan.Template:Kyoto-geo-stub
