Robert J. Sternberg (b. 8 December 1949) is the Dean of Arts and Sciences at Tufts University and is the former IBM Professor of Psychology and Education at Yale University.

Sternberg has proposed a:
- triarchic theory of intelligence and a triangular theory of love.
- investment theory of creativity (with Todd Lubart) - creative people buy low and sell high in the world of ideas, and a propulsion theory of creative contributions - creativity is a form of leadership.
Sternberg has proposed to apply the name creatology to scientific studies of creativity.
Credencials
Sternberg has a BA from Yale, a PhD from Stanford University, and four honorary doctorates.
