Mentone is a bayside suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Its Local Government Area is the City of Kingston. It is known locally for its beautiful beach which extends from the cliffs in Beaumaris & ends at Warrigal Rd where it turns into Parkdale.

Mentone is associated with the Heidelberg School.

Overview

The area has achieved success with shoppers. It is home to a lively shopping area along Como Parade, Balcombe Road and surrounding areas. The suburb is also serviced by the recent construction of DFO, The Warehouse and other popular stores afronting Moorabbin Airport on the edge of Mentone and Cheltenham.

Transport

Mentone is home to the regional general airport Moorabbin Airport which services many private and chartered flights daily. It is also serviced by a variety of Metlink public transport bus and train services.

Schools

Kilbreda College is a Catholic Secondary School for girls, founded in 1904. The school is owned and administered by the Brigidine Sisters

St Bede's is a Catholic boys high school in Mentone, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It is administered by the De La Salle Brothers. Former students include, members of the rock band Jet and Australian cricket player Brad Hodge
