Tieta do Agreste is a Brazilian Modernist novel. It was written by Jorge Amado in 1977.

In 1996, it was filmed with Sonia Braga as Tieta.

Plot

Antonieta returns from Sao Paulo to her native village of Agreste in Bahia.
