Fasthosts is a Gloucestershire based web hosting and internet services company. According to 2005 statistics from Netcraft, they host 235,961 websites, making them the third-largest European hosting company, and the largest in the United Kingdom.

In May 2001 Fasthosts suffered a three day outage during which all customer websites and email services were unavailable.

Founding

Fasthosts was started in a bedroom by school friends Andrew Michael and Alex Wilding. Michael, still in his mid-twenties, continues to run Fasthosts from the Gloucester Docks, with around 90 staff.
