Refusal of work is a concept that has been advocated at various times by many social activist groups, mostly located on the libertarian left wing. The idea is that if enough of the working class refused to show up for work, parts of the capitalist power structure would be stalled, paving the way for effecting social reforms that will make job quality better (or effecting an entire anarchist revolution, depending on the person asked).
