Image:Ronni ancona publicity shot.jpg Ronni Ancona (born 1968 in Troon, Strathclyde, Scotland) is an impressionist who has become one of the most popular and well known entertainers in the UK. She is of Sephardic Jewish origin.
Ancona became a household name as a result of appearing in the BBC's Big Impression alongside Alistair McGowan. Her most famous impressions include Victoria Beckham, Jennie Bond, Audrey Hepburn, Carol Smillie, Barbara Windsor, Ruby Wax and Catherine Zeta-Jones. She is 6'2" tall.
As part of BBC's Big Read [1] she promoted The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
Before Big Impression, Ronni had featured in many films and TV shows for many years, as well as performing stand-up comedy. She also appeared in the first series of The Sketch Show.
In 2003, she won the Best TV Comedy Actress award at the British Comedy Awards for her role on the Big Impression.
In 2004 she married doctor Gerard Hall, and in April 2005 gave birth to a baby girl, Lily Francesca, weighing 7lbs 7oz.
