Image:Dlr poplar 2.jpg Poplar is a station on the Docklands Light Railway in Travelcard Zone 2. It serves as a junction between trains travelling Eastbound towards Beckton and King George V and trains travelling Northbound to Stratford. To the west the next station is Westferry, to the south is West India Quay, on the Stratford branch it is All Saints and to Beckton Blackwall.
It was opened on 21 August 1987.
There was a station of the same name on the London and Blackwall Railway between 8 July 1840 to 4 May 1926.
The central depot for the DLR is accessed through a pair of tracks just east of Poplar. This features the tightest curves in operation on the railway.
