In 1969 Clive Exton adapted the play into a film directed by Douglas Hickox, and starring Beryl Reid, Peter McEnery and Harry Andrews. The adaptation varied significantly from the original text, with Ed driving a pink Cadillac, a three-way "wedding" for Sloane, Kath and Ed, and music written and performed by Georgie Fame.Template:Theat-stub
