Metropark is the name of a train station in Woodbridge Township, New Jersey, which is served by Amtrak and New Jersey Transit trains on the Northeast Corridor Line. Metropark Station takes its name from a nearby office park in Iselin, New Jersey, which is part of Woodbridge Township.
Metropark is one of the busiest train stations in the United States. Amtrak ranks it as 20th out of 300 stations in ridership, and New Jersey Transit reported nearly 6,000 boardings on an average weekday, with the station serving nearly four million passengers a year.

History
The Metropark station was opened in 1971 by Amtrak. Commuter trains began stopping at Metropark in 1972, and two nearby stations, Iselin and Colonia, were closed.

The station is also served by New Jersey Transit's Northeast Corridor commuter rail line, as well as connecting bus services.
Metropark was named after the Metroliner, an Amtrak train with planned station stops in Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Maryland, Wilmington, Delaware, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and New York City. The State of New Jersey required Amtrak to have at least one stop in New Jersey, so Amtrak built a stop called Metropark.Template:Fact
