- This article is about the former town in Fukui Prefecture, Japan. Asahi is a common name in Japan, for other uses see Asahi.
Asahi (朝日町; -chou) was a town located in Nyū District, Fukui, Japan.
On February 1, 2005 Asahi, the nearby town Ota, and the neighboring village Miyazaki all merged with the town of Echizen. As of this merger Asahi no longer exists as an independent municipality.
As of 2003, the town had an estimated population of 9,463 and a density of 208.12 persons per km². The total area was 45.47 km².
