APESOL, short for Asociación Peruana de Software Libre, is a non-profit organization which aims to promote, develop and build an active community of free software activists, developers and users in Peru.
APESOL was founded in February 2002 in Lima, Peru and currently has presence in the major cities across the country. APESOL works together with NGO, Government, Civil Society in projects which aim to accomplish its goals and has also worked closely with Congressmen Edgar Villanueva and Daniel Estrada regarding Free Software bills.
