Seigneur means, in French, "lord".
- The term is often used in the Medieval system of Feudalism and Manorialism where it means the possessor of a "seigneurie" or fief.
- The term is also used in the Seigneurial system of New France.
- The term is also used to refer to God.
- The Seigneur of Sark is the hereditary feudal ruler of the island.
