The City University of New York Law School is a professional school operated by CUNY at Queens College in Flushing, Queens, New York.

The School opened in 1983 and "it is the only law school which, from inception, has defined its mission as training law students for public service."1 Accordingly, the school's motto is Law in the Service of Human Needs.

CUNY School of Law's child care center was the first one in legal education in the United States.

The clinical program of the school was ranked #5 by US News in 2005.


Awards

  • "Public Interest School of the Year", given by the Student Division of the American Bar Association (1998)
  • The National Association of Public Interest Law (NAPIL) named Kristin Booth Glen, Dean of the City University of New York (CUNY) School of Law, as "1998 Law School Dean of the Year."
