Template:Koreanruler Namhae Chachaung Geoseogan (reigned 4 - 24) was the second king of Silla, one of the Three Kingdoms of Korea. According to Kim Dae-Mun's in Samguk Sagi, "Chachaung" means a shaman in Old Korean. Geoseogan means king or ruler. He was the eldest son of Bak Hyeokgeose and Queen Alyeong. His wife was Lady Unje (운제, 雲帝).
His reign was characterised by a series of foreign invasions. In 4, the Nangnang army surrounded Geumseong, the Sillan capital, but was repelled. The Japanese invaded Silla in 14, and while Silla fought back, Nangnang invaded again. A comet shower was said to have scared the Nangnang soldiers, however, and they retreated.
