Alexander Stepanovich Antonov (1888-1922) (Алекса́ндр Степа́нович Анто́нов) was the leader of the Tambov Rebellion during the Russian Civil War.

He had been member of the Socialist-Revolutionary Party since 1906, and had been in exile in Siberia from 1908 from 1917 due to his political activities.

The 1917 Revolution gave him his freedom back and he fought against the Bolshevik party, especially in the Tambov region where he led the biggest rural rebellion against the new communist regime.

After having led the uprising, he was killed in an attempt to arrest him.
