Tōwa (東和町; -chou) was a town located in Waga District, Iwate Prefecture, Japan.
As of 2003, the town had an estimated population of 10,332 and a density of 65.60 persons per km². The total area was 157.51 km².
Although Towa did not have any formal sister city agreements, it has conducted exchanges with Clinton, Wisconsin, Steinfurt, Germany and Shetland Islands, Scotland.
As of January 1, 2006, Towa town has merged to become part of the new city of Hanamaki.Template:Iwate-geo-stub
