Image:Martha Logan Alt..jpg Jean Smart (born September 13, 1951 <ref>Template:Cite news</ref><ref>Template:Cite news</ref> in Seattle, Washington) is an American film and television actress. She was the second of four children. She starred as the character Charlene on Designing Women from 1986 to 1991 and Kim Possible from 2002 to 2004. In 2004, she was part of the short-lived sitcom Center of the Universe. Recent apperances on the big screen include Disney's The Kid, Sweet Home Alabama, Bringing Down The House, and Garden State.

In January 2006, Smart joined the cast of 24 playing the First Lady of the United States, Martha Logan.

Smart is married to actor Richard Gilliland, whom she met while working with Gilliland on the set of Designing Women. They have one son, Connor. She is a graduate of Ballard High School, located in Seattle. It is here where she sparked her interest in acting in the drama program.
