Hereward FM is the Independent Local Radio station for Peterborough and Huntingdonshire. It broadcasts from Peterborough on 102.7FM. It was originally called Hereward Radio and also broadcast on the frequency 1332MW. It is now owned by GCap Media, having previously been bought by the GWR Group in 1995. The Breakfast Show from 6-10am is hosted by Matt Jarvis and Sarah Tempest, whilst Graham Torrington hosts the Late Night Love show from 10pm-1am.

Hereward is based in the Queensgate Centre, the same location as Classic Gold 1332 (which took Hereward's former MW signal when it was previously dubiously known as the World's Greatest Music Station).

Hereward FM's digital (and BBC Radio Cambridgeshire) transmitter collapsed in October 2004 after a side-building caught fire.

The main FM transmitter is at Gunthorpe.

Hereward FM prides itself in its local roots, and attends many local and charitable events across the area every year. If you would like free publicity, the radio station asks you to kindly email any details from their website www.hereward.co.uk
