The Cold War Recognition Certificate is a recognition certificate presented by the Secretary of Defense to all members of the armed forces and qualified federal government civilian personnel who faithfully and honorably served the United States anytime during the Cold War era, which is defined as September 2, 1945 to December 26, 1991.

The United States Army provides applications for Cold War Recognition Certificates and any interested person may write to the following address to obtain information.

A Cold War Victory Medal also exists which may accompany the Cold War Recognition Certificate, however the medal is unofficial and may only be privately purchased.
