Grip is a term with many uses:

grip, or hilt, part of a sword
grip is used to describe how a tennis racquet is held.
grip is used to describe how a cricket ball is held by a bowler.
grip is a leather hand protector used in gymnastics on the uneven bars, high bar and parallel bars.

Grip, a Swedish automobile manufacturer, also known as Grantorpets karosserifabrik
Governor's Road Improvement Program (GRIP) - a developmental highway program in Georgia where certain designated non-Interstate highway corridors are upgraded to 4-lanes (mostly divided). Georgia Code 32-4-22 defines which highways, or portions thereof, are part of the GRIP program.
