Grip is a term with many uses:
- grip, or hilt, part of a sword
- grip is used to describe how a tennis racquet is held.
- grip is used to describe how a cricket ball is held by a bowler.
- grip is a leather hand protector used in gymnastics on the uneven bars, high bar and parallel bars.
- grip strength, important in climbing and other sports
- grip, a job in the music or film industry
- key grip, the chief grip on a set
- Grip (rapper), a female rapper
- friction, to prevent slipping
- Grip audio ripper (Grip), an audio ripping program within the GNOME project (Linux)
- Grip, Norway, an archipelago, deserted fishing village, and former municipality in Norway
- Greenland ice core project (GRIP)
- Grip, a Swedish automobile manufacturer, also known as Grantorpets karosserifabrik
- Governor's Road Improvement Program (GRIP) - a developmental highway program in Georgia where certain designated non-Interstate highway corridors are upgraded to 4-lanes (mostly divided). Georgia Code 32-4-22 defines which highways, or portions thereof, are part of the GRIP program.
- Slang for "many" or "a lot", eg. There is a grip of people. deriv. Southern California
- Obsolete: a bag for travelling that is smaller than a suitcase
