Alexander Campbell is one of the most prevalent personal names in Scotland and among Scottish emigrant populations. For this reason there are a number of famous people of that name including:

- Alexander Campbell (American politician), Senator from Ohio in early 19th century
- Alexander B. Campbell, Premier of Prince Edward Island from 1966 to 1978
- Alexander Campbell (Upper Canada politician), member of the 1st Parliament of Upper Canada
