Dayr al-Qassi' was a Palestinian village that was captured by Israel during the 1948 Arab-Israeli war. Residents of the town fled towards Lebanon at the behest of the Arab armies.

The town was known to be inhabited by the following clans/hamulas: Ma'arouf, al-Sadeq, Aoudi, Hamada, al-Khatib, al-Kassab, Ali-Al Bukkaee, Orfali, al-Sheikh Taha and al-Thahir.
