Quarter derives from the french meaning "4" or "¼" and may refer to:
- Quarter (U.S. coin), valued at one-fourth of a U.S. dollar
- Quarter (Canadian coin), valued at one-fourth of a Canadian dollar
- one-fourth of an hour
- one-fourth of a year, often a fiscal year
- one-quarter of a hundredweight
- one-quarter of an ounce, term associated mostly with illicit drug sales
- an academic term shorter than a semester
