SINKEX

Image:USS Towers DDG-9 sinking.jpgSINKEX or Sink Exercise is a military test of a weapons system (usually a torpedo), involving an attempt to sink a ship. The ship would be unmanned, and most likely obsolete and/or unwanted.

The US Navy refers to this type of exercise as a HULKEX (Hulk + Exercise).
