- "Nam" (or 'Nam - short for "Vietnam") is a colloquialism for the Vietnam War, common among Americans of the "Vietnam (war) generation".
- Nam - A game popular in North Shore Chicago. It was created by Junior High-Schoolers in Deerfield, Illinois. The players are split up into teams (anywhere from two to six) and given tennis balls that are thrown at opposing teams. The team with the last person not to be hit wins. The game is usually played in woods.
