Template:GBmap Taplow is a village in Buckinghamshire, England. It sits on the east bank of the River Thames facing Maidenhead on the opposite bank. Taplow railway station is situated near the A4 south of the village.
The village name is Anglo Saxon in origin, and means 'Tæppa's hill'. It was recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086 as Thapeslau.
William Henry Grenfell, Lord Desborough lived at Taplow Court.
Nearby is Cliveden, former home of Nancy Astor.
